As Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO), Ray is responsible for leading the Human Resources and Recruiting Departments. In his position as CHCO, Ray is assigned to the office of the Chief Executive Officer of Altamira.
Ray comes to us as a strategic Human Resources business leader with over 20 years of experience successfully aligning the direction of Human Resources and Recruiting with corporate objectives. He has proven success in large and complex integrations by forging partnerships across organizations that establish best practices and innovative techniques to continuously meet growing organizational requirements with a focus on solving challenging business problems to effectively manage costs and minimize risks.
Before joining Altamira, Ray was most recently the Director of Human Resources at QinetiQ North America in Reston, Virginia where he served as the HR leader for the Executive Vice President of the intelligence, civilian, and commercial sectors. Ray was responsible for delivering human capital strategy, and operational execution of benefits, compensation, HRIS, training, recruiting, immigration, and employee relations with an emphasis on conflict resolution, executive coaching, and employee mentoring while managing a team of 10 employees. He managed multiple other infrastructure projects and was recognized for his leadership on an HR systems integration effort.
Ray attended George Mason University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and has participated on the WashingtonExec Strategic Human Capital and Critical-Talent Council. Ray was also recognized in 2014 as a Human Resources Leadership Award nominee for his work to establish Altamira’s benefits, HRIS, and Performance Management tools in a compressed window during the 2013 integration.
