Columbia, MD–Altamira employees in our Columbia, MD office took some time off from their day to participate in the Build-A-Bike charity event, in conjunction with the non-profit organization Our Military Kids. It was a great afternoon for everyone involved, as teams of employees put their mechanical and teamwork skills to work building several girl’s and boy’s bicycles. After the build, children selected by the Our Military Kids organization arrived to pick out their cycling helmets and test ride their new bikes. From the looks on everyone’s faces–smiles all around–it was time well spent on a great cause.
“At Altamira, we take great pride in the work we do supporting our nation’s warfighters,” states Jonathan Moneymaker, Altamira’s Chief Strategy Officer. “Our Build-A-Bike charity event benefitting Our Military Kids is a great way for us to extend this support to those most affected by the sacrifice of our men and women in uniform. It is an honor and privilege to support such a worthy cause.”
Our Military Kids is a nonprofit organization that supports children, ages 5-12th grade, of deployed National Guard and Reserve service members and children of wounded warriors from all service branches.
