Every Fall, in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, Altamira employees come together to participate in the annual Holiday Food Drive. “With hunger affecting almost 50 million people around the country, including millions of children, senior citizens and military veterans, it seems most fitting that during this holiday known for festive family meals, Altamira should do its part to help feed those in need within our communities,” said Jonathan Moneymaker, Chief Strategy Officer at Altamira. “Our goal each year is to collect and donate as many non-perishable food items as possible for the less fortunate among us. This year’s Food Drive turned out to be one of our most successful, with over 500lbs. of food items donated to local charities.”
With so many worthy charities to choose from, Altamira looked to its employees for recommendations on which organizations to include in this year’s event.
