Altamira is seeking a motivated, energetic Business Development senior professional to expand Altamira business operations within our government client DoD enterprises. The qualified candidate will interact with current and potential customer organizations in all divisions but specifically with government Air Force and COCOMS DoD entities. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing opportunities and developing and maintaining profitable relationships with multiple stakeholders across the government.
The Business Development Director will exclusively manage the pursuit and capture process and may participate in pursuits within other agencies as necessary. The qualified candidate will collaborate with customers and Altamira internal departments to create or vet opportunities, generate technical approaches, and create management presentations in support of pursue/no pursue and bid/no bid recommendations.
Job Responsibilities:
-Execute advanced business development techniques to meet corporate growth strategies and the supporting processes to meet both market share and revenue goals.
-Develop Customer intimacy, strategy and qualified pipelines for the major Altamira Customers primarily focused on US Government COCOM and Air Force (AF) entities
-Identify and implement approaches for breaking into new customer markets as well as, expanding in the current customer footprint.
-Actively identify client needs and ensure profitable solution-based selling to increase revenue and create value added customer relationships.
-Support cross team/function coordination associated with identification, qualification, shaping, and capture of business opportunities.
-Establish and maintain sufficient opportunity pipeline to ensure growth goals are met.
-Develop and present performance reports and progress towards strategic captures, and market trends.
-Support the establishment of applicable budgets and forecasts based on opportunity identification and market activity.
-May lead partner strategies, and contract negotiations to include teaming agreements, and price to win strategies.
-Oversee both internal and external resources in support of ongoing branding initiatives thereby ensuring alignment with emerging corporate capabilities and emerging client needs. Support the implementation of branding initiatives and marketing via ensuring effective cross-organizational communication and adoption.
-Be a contributing force in the development and commitment to the work ethic, culture and values of the sales and business development group including leaning in to help as needed.
Requirements:
-Minimum 6-8 years of experience developing business in defense and intelligence markets with proven and quantifiable results.
-Must have led and won large competitive captures.
-Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential. Significant local travel. Master’s degree highly desired. BA/BS degree required.
-Must have a broad COCOMS or Air Force customer intimacy, including current architectures and programs, across the government COCOMS and Air Force entities
-Current TS/SCI clearance and badge access to customers strongly preferred
